Saving Error Messages

Many times you get a pop-up window that you would like to save. It may be an error message, configuration information or steps in a procedure that you would like to save.

The solution is simple.

  1. When the pop-up window is displayed on the Computer Monitor simultaneously press the keys (Alt-Print Screen) to copy the pop-up window.
  2. Open up Microsoft Word to a new document.
  3. Use the Paste command (Ctrl–V) or right click (Paste).

 

An example of the pasting an error pop-up window is shown below.

 

 

P.S. If you would like to paste the entire Monitor Display with pop-up, replace the (Alt-Print Screen) in the above procedure with(Ctrl-Print Screen).
