Memory Sticks

I don’t know about you, but I sure love gadgets, especially computer gadgets. Memory Sticks are so coooool! And so practical and useful. Photo 1 shows two ‘sticks’ and the size compared to a quarter. Photo 2 shows the top off and the USB connection port ready for action.

The storage capacity of these little devices goes up to 10 gigs. A 512 mb stick will cost less than $25. A 1 gig unit will cost less than $40. The devices are rugged. The protective cap keeps the usb connection clean and clear. They can easily fit in your pocket or purse. Download files into your stick for business, hobbies, and photos and so much more. No more dealing with a five inch diameter disk and worrying about breakage or scratching.

On most computers there is a USB port(s) on the front of your computer. If you have not used this port, just look around and inspect all the little ‘holes ‘ in your computer, mostly likely you will find a slot. Personally, I had no idea there was a port on the front of my computer. One day my son was visiting and popped out his ‘stick’ and plugged it in to the port at the bottom of the front. Voila, there it was. Moral to the story, you learn a lot from your kids.

Have fun with your ‘stick’.
