Sulfate of Ammonia for Great Green Lawns

The October, 2005, gardening tip described the use of sulfate of ammonia fertilizer for citrus. It is also recommended for lawns.

Six weeks ago I spread the sulfate of ammonia over one half of my front lawn. The results were very impressive. The area covered by the SA showed a marked improvement over standard fertilizers. The photo (link) shows the difference and the photo does not do the difference justice. It looked even better.

The front lawn looks better than it has in the last ten years. The color is dark green and the grass is deep and luscious.

Bottom line. If want to have the most beautiful lawn you have ever had, then try the sulfate of ammonia. You won’t be disappointed.
