Cranberry Almond Chocolate Bark with Tangerine Zest

It is the season for entertaining and gift giving. What would be better than making a gift from the heart that brings pleasure to the tummy!  Oh, by the way…..its really easy to make. To give as a gift, just get a cute tin to put it in or the cellophane bags with some beautiful ribbon. Have a wonderful Holiday Season!!

Cranberry Almond Chocolate Bark with Tangerine Zest

 

  • ½ cup slivered almonds
  • 3 cups dark chocolate morsels (about 1 ½ 12oz bags)
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tangerines zest

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 13x9 pan with foil and lay-out almond slivers on baking sheet. Bake till light brown, approximately 10 minutes. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat. When melted mix in the cranberries, almonds and zest. Pour mixture into a 13x9” pan and spread out into an even layer. Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until hard, at least 1 hour. Break or cut into jagged pieces.
