February 14 is Valentine’s Day. It is the time to remember that very special someone and of course to let them know that they are very special. Romance is in the air. Candy, flowers and/or gifts will let a loved one know that they are remembered.

One of our residents has written a poem in celebration of love:
I Wish I Were
If I were a writer, I would make marvelous sentences
I would write beautiful words
I wish I were.
If I were a poet, I would join the words that count.
I would make the words that rhyme.
I wish I were.
If I were a potter, I would form the clay
I would make beautiful objects.
I wish I were.
If I were an artist, I would mix fantastic colors.
I would draw beautiful pictures
I wish I were.
If I were a musician, I would write the music
I would write the chords that make you cry
I wish I were.
If one day I could be all.
A writer. A poet. A potter. An artist. A musician.
I would join them all.
I would write and rhyme and form and draw and play
Three beautiful words
I love you.
